We have created the perfect one for you! We have spent a lot of time perfecting a luxury, sustainable candle. Having been obsessed with candles for quite some time, and owning nearly every brand of candle you can think of over the years (from Voya, Neom, Jo Malone, Max Benjamin, Brooke and Shoals, Rathbornes, and Diptyque, the list goes on and on!) we have focussed on having a gorgeous reusable candle cup with a sustainably made candle inside.
The Cup:
The ceramic candle cup is handcrafted in Portugal, and is designed to have multiple reuses. Cleaning the cup is incredibly easy because of how clean burning the candle is- so it can be used as a coffee cup, indoor plant pot for succulents, vase for short stemmed flowers, and even a stylish pen holder for the home office! We realised that we never reused our branded candle jars that we amassed over the years, so we decided it was time for a candle cup that was unbranded and had multiple uses- but also looked gorgeous.
The Candle:
We use the most sustainable wax there is, which is a rapeseed and coconut blend wax- it’s cruelty free, 100% vegan, bio-degradable, non GMO ingredients, and has no preservatives or chemicals. Not only is it the most sustainable option, it also gives a cleaner burn. Rapeseed and coconut wax is water soluble, which will make cleaning the candle cup afterwards really easy, ready for one of the multiple uses! Fragranced with essential oils, the candles not only smell amazing, but give you the feel good factor that you are making a difference by buying sustainable candles!
Candle Care:
Taking care of your candle is also a crucial part of the process.
When burning for the first time, allow the candle to burn for 2-4 hours to allow the entire surface to melt to avoid tunnelling.
After each burn you should always trim your wick to a 1/4inch and keep your candle clear of any debris, matches or wick trimmings at all times.
Let it burn until the wax pool has reached the outsides of the jar. This will create a memory for the candle and prevent tunnelling.
Burn your candle in a well-ventilated room away from any drafts.
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep your candle dust and debris free.
Do not burn your candle when the wax level reaches 10mm or below to avoid overheating the ceramic candle cup.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours.
